Spectators: 6662 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1662, VIP seats: 0) Cururupe's João Pedro Severo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Natus CF getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Luiz Fabiano Guedes hit a great ball. Gerson Palmeira hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. César da Rocha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Camargo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pedro Severo in the 22nd minute of play forced Natus CF's goalkeeper Edinho Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th match minute, Cururupe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magno Paulista to maneuver through the defense. 30 minutes into the match, Natus CF's goal looked a bit too open when João Pedro Severo came free, but Edinho Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Natus CF's zone, Gerson Palmeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edinho Neves came out of the goal and Gerson Palmeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edinho Neves came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Cururupe's Gerson Palmeira. But to his dismay, Gerson Palmeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 48th minute João Pedro Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Osvaldo Camargo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gerson Palmeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Edinho Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Barbosa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but César da Rocha made a huge save. 75 minutes into the game, Natus CF's David Barbosa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. César da Rocha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. David Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Barbosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over César da Rocha. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Barbosa ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hugo Prestes in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck César da Rocha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Cururupe booed when Natus CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Fabiano Guedes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sydney de Sousa, 91 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When João Pedro Severo came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Cururupe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Pedro Severo couldn't finish the play. Cururupe's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
