The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Vitório Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. In the 6th minute Gláuber Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yan Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vitório Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Yan Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 10 minutes, Vitório Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beco Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitório Varela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gláuber Negri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yan Soeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. In the 19th match minute, Beco Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olavo Paulista to maneuver through the defense. Yan Soeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gláuber Negri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abelardo Varela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Sebastião Faria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Vitório Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beco Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Vitório Varela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yan Soeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute Gláuber Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yan Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Olavo Paulista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 0-1 became the score in the 34th minute when Gláuber Negri elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The Forkcity F. C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Beco Futebol Clube were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gláuber Negri to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gláuber Negri in the 53rd minute of play forced Forkcity F. C.'s goalkeeper Yan Soeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Duarte Couto fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beco Futebol Clube's protests and gave Duarte Couto a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Beco Futebol Clube's zone, Abelardo Varela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastião Faria came out of the goal and Abelardo Varela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vitório Varela might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yan Soeiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vitório Varela ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 63rd minute, Armandinho Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sebastião Faria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Forkcity F. C.'s Yan Soeiro got control of the ball when Vitório Varela tried to sneak it across the goal line. Forkcity F. C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by José Maria Diniz in the 74th minute. Yan Soeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beco Futebol Clube. Abelardo Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th match minute, Beco Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olavo Paulista to maneuver through the defense. Abelardo Varela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastião Faria having to interfere. When the match was over Beco Futebol Clube could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Forkcity F. C. throughout the match.
