Mercenários FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dudu Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmílson Cosme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Peres, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 44 minutes into the game, Paulo José Leme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After having played for 90 minutes, Dalmo Chaves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catuira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmo Chaves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmílson Cosme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Peres went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Mercenários FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Catuira to leave the ground with a draw.
