Os cavalões's Eurico dos Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Raphael da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 15th minute, Hernani Dias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Ivan Futebol Clube defense, Eurico dos Santos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tiago Meira. The Ivan Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tiago Meira should have stopped the shot. Eurico dos Santos ran back to his position shaking his head. Tiago Meira came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Os cavalões's Eurico dos Santos. But to his dismay, Eurico dos Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Natã Fernandes to make the kick off. Tiago Meira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natã Fernandes in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaká Souza in the 56th minute of play forced Os cavalões's goalkeeper Gilson Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eurico dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Tiago Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
