After 9 played minutes Turiassu got a freekick which was hit by Wellington de Sena. After 11 minutes, Ciro Gaúcho made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Turiassu's Geovani Valle tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Anselmo Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitinho Senna in the 19th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Carlos Meireles got free with Anselmo Sabóia in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vascão Clube Campeão fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 38th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 40 minutes, Turiassu's Rodriguinho Alvarenga got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Anselmo Sabóia. After a defensive mix-up in Vascão Clube Campeão's zone, Alan Valladares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Sabóia came out of the goal and Alan Valladares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Turiassu's Zé Carlos Meireles got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cesinha Paraense to strike the kick off in the second half. Ciro Gaúcho struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Geovani Valle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vascão Clube Campeão. Alan Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anselmo Sabóia having to interfere. In the 61st minute of the match Lino Pombal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Anselmo Sabóia skillfully saved the ball. If Zé Carlos Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Alan Valladares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Turiassu's supporters rose to their feet, but Alan Valladares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anselmo Sabóia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Carlos Meireles in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anselmo Sabóia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulysses Viana during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 72nd minute Alan Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Turiassu's Alan Valladares in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vascão Clube Campeão's goalie prevented a goal. Anselmo Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Carlos Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 85th minute, Zé Carlos Meireles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zé Carlos Meireles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alan Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. If Zé Carlos Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Turiassu fully deserved thier win.
