After 6 played minutes, Vascão Clube Campeão's Oswaldo das Neves shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcos Hoffmann came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vascão Clube Campeão reached it. Sidnei Varela hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Téo Mineiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anselmo Sabóia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Téo Mineiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 16 minutes into the game, Desportiva Guarabira's Téo Mineiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anselmo Sabóia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Marcos Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciro Gaúcho in the 21st minute of play. After 26 played minutes Desportiva Guarabira got a freekick which was hit by Geraldo Cavalcante. Anselmo Sabóia made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Téo Mineiro sent off a good shot on target. In the 30th minute Desportiva Guarabira were awarded a corner. Jairo Castro went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Desportiva Guarabira's corner Jairo Castro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Anselmo Sabóia quite easily take care of the ball. Téo Mineiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anselmo Sabóia having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Vascão Clube Campeão's zone, Cipriano Sá stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Sabóia came out of the goal and Cipriano Sá tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Téo Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raphael Meireles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anselmo Sabóia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Téo Mineiro was the one to do the kick off. Raphael Meireles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Anselmo Sabóia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Téo Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute Raphael Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Téo Mineiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Anselmo Sabóia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Marcos Hoffmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesinha Paraense in the 61st minute of the match. Vascão Clube Campeão's Anselmo Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raphael Meireles in the 65th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Desportiva Guarabira's Téo Mineiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anselmo Sabóia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cipriano Sá's late challenge caught a Vascão Clube Campeão's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cipriano Sá helped the player get up and apologised. Cipriano Sá hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Cipriano Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Desportiva Guarabira's goalkeeper Marcos Hoffmann had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciro Gaúcho. Anselmo Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Coutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Vascão Clube Campeão's zone, Téo Mineiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Sabóia came out of the goal and Téo Mineiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Desportiva Guarabira's Cipriano Sá managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Aníbal Tande in the 85 minute of the game. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Téo Mineiro sped through Vascão Clube Campeão's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anselmo Sabóia. Anselmo Sabóia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Téo Mineiro in the 91st minute of the match. Cipriano Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anselmo Sabóia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Téo Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 96 minutes, Cipriano Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Desportiva Guarabira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cipriano Sá was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Desportiva Guarabira had played much better football throughout.
