São José FC's Hílton Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Téo Mineiro in the 5th minute of play. A collision led to São José FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Felipe de Barros hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Carlos Pena in the 18th minute of play forced Desportiva Guarabira's goalkeeper Marcos Hoffmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Téo Mineiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hílton Pereira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Téo Mineiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Marcus Hermes charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcus Hermes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in São José FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! If Raphael Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Téo Mineiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Hílton Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raphael Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton Pereira having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Marcus Hermes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. São José FC's Hílton Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raphael Meireles in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute, Desportiva Guarabira's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gilberto Palmeira fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 47 minutes of play, São José FC's João Augusto Capixaba made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Hoffmann was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Desportiva Guarabira's Marcos Hoffmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Palmeira in the 55th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Téo Mineiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hílton Pereira. São José FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Téo Mineiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Marcos Hoffmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Carlos Pena's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After having played for 63 minutes, Téo Mineiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Desportiva Guarabira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Téo Mineiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Téo Mineiro notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of São José FC's Hílton Pereira. Hílton Pereira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Téo Mineiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton Pereira having to interfere. If Vicente Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Téo Mineiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcos Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Carlos Pena in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Palmeira in the 89th minute of play forced Desportiva Guarabira's goalkeeper Marcos Hoffmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Desportiva Guarabira's Téo Mineiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hílton Pereira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of São José FC booed when Desportiva Guarabira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel Gonçalves didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dráuzio Sampaio during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Desportiva Guarabira's Dráuzio Sampaio got a free kick in the 95th minute. Desportiva Guarabira were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
