Juninho Linhares helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to EC Bahia getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Juninho Linhares hit a great ball. Turiassu's Ulysses Viana got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zé Carlos Meireless short, quick shot in the 20thth minute got Marco Jacinto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Geovani Valle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
