Zé Roberto Velasco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Dorian de Lima when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 22ndth minute of the game Zé Roberto Velasco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguayana SS's Dorian de Lima was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zé Roberto Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Dorian de Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, one of Uruguayana SS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Uruguayana SS. When the match had been going on for 29 minutes, Júbilo Iwata's Hélio Torres got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Dorian de Lima. In the 31st minute, Jaime Trevisan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 35th minute, Hélio Torres made a precise shot to the right of Dorian de Lima. Uruguayana SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Zé Roberto Velasco did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Dorian de Lima 37 minutes into the match.

Zé Roberto Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dorian de Lima having to interfere. In the 65th minute Moisés Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jano Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júbilo Iwata's Marquinhos Leme got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 71st minute, Zé Roberto Velasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Roberto Velasco in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dorian de Lima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 80 minutes into the match, Kléberson Tróia notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Júbilo Iwata's Jano Bastos. Jano Bastos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marquinhos Leme might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dorian de Lima. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marquinhos Leme ran back to his position shaking his head. 91 minutes into the game, Moisés Ortiz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uruguayana SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Júbilo Iwata the free kick. The Júbilo Iwata fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Júbilo Iwata's Zé Roberto Velasco looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Júbilo Iwata had played much better football throughout.
