The crowd rose to their feet as Gugu Sarmento kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nelsinho de Amaral. That made the score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nico Pimenta in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jailson Ramalho saved Guerreiros FC from getting behind. In the 17th minute of the match, Hamílton Neves got a very nice opportunity to score, but Nelsinho de Amaral was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 18th minute Guerreiros FC were awarded a corner. Moisés Marquez went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Diguinho Valladares heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Nelsinho de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gugu Sarmento, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Hamílton Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Nelsinho de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, New veneza's goalkeeper Nelsinho de Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hamílton Neves. After a rather tough play, New veneza's Marcos Toscano got a free kick in the 31st minute. Nico Pimenta struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Tiaguinho Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jailson Ramalho having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nico Pimenta to make the kick off. Jailson Ramalho made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Tiaguinho Vaz sent off a good shot on target.
