Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nestor Cavalcante got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Sertanejo SS's Arí Prestes got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Carlos Eduardo Carneiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cícero de Salles. Sertanejo SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Zé Borges's late challenge caught a Sertanejo SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Borges helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Alfredinho Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sertanejo SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredinho Cordeiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dário Pontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Constituinte AD's Dário Pontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Constituinte AD from getting a goal against them. Cícero de Salles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho Bertassi in the 25th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Constituinte AD's Pedrinho Bertassi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cícero de Salles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Raphael Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Carlos Eduardo Carneiro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sertanejo SS's Cícero de Salles didn't even have to move. Nestor Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 39 played minutes Sertanejo SS got a freekick which was hit by Reinaldo Perez. Alfredinho Cordeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Dário Pontes made a huge save. 45 minutes into the match, Alfredinho Cordeiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dário Pontes. Constituinte AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredinho Cordeiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfredinho Cordeiro to make the kick off. Cícero de Salles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Cavalcante in the 50th minute of the match. Pedrinho Bertassi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute, Pedrinho Bertassi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nestor Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Cícero de Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sertanejo SS's Cícero de Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Cavalcante in the 61st minute of play. Cícero de Salles was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Pedrinho Bertassi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pedrinho Bertassi really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Reinaldo Perez kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After 73 played minutes Constituinte AD got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Eduardo Carneiro. A collision led to Sertanejo SS getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Arí Prestes hit a great ball. Nestor Cavalcante received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cícero de Salles came out and tried to block the shot, but Nestor Cavalcante slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 76th minute. Nestor Cavalcante fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero de Salles having to interfere. With his leg Cícero de Salles managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Constituinte AD's Pedrinho Bertassi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sertanejo SS's Cícero de Salles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nestor Cavalcante in the 95th minute of play. Constituinte AD's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
