Durval Dracena made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Diguinho Braga sent off a good shot on target. After 27 minutes of play, Bauru Atlético Clube's Adalberto Eger made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Durval Dracena was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 31st minute Vito Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Donatello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, União Esporte Club's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Diguinho Braga fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 34 played minutes União Esporte Club got a freekick which was hit by Didi Ferreira. Wilson Santana's late challenge caught a Bauru Atlético Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
