Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Geraldo Ramos kicked off to start the match. The supporters of Cruzalia EC booed when Carcanha SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarcisio Romero didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Carcanha SC's zone, Rui Schmidt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalmo Peixoto came out of the goal and Rui Schmidt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Geraldo Ramos scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dalmo Peixoto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Henrique Lopes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Breno Mello was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. Geraldo Ramos took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dalmo Peixoto. Dalmo Peixoto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Geraldo Ramos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dalmo Peixoto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute, Sydney do Nascimento made a precise shot to the right of Breno Mello. Cruzalia EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Dalmo Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Schmidt in the 31st minute of play. Dalmo Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geraldo Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Geraldo Ramos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cruzalia EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Geraldo Ramos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dalmo Peixoto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Geraldo Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dalmo Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geraldo Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Cruzalia EC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Donato Romero in the 44th minute. The corner led Cruzalia EC's Donato Romero to fire away a dangerous shot which Dalmo Peixoto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Carcanha SC's Dalmo Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Ramos in the 56th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Doni Ortiz during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Carcanha SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doni Ortiz to maneuver through the defense. Geraldo Ramos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dalmo Peixoto having to make a save. Rui Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Peixoto having to interfere. Aníbal de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalmo Peixoto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geraldo Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Carlos Fernando Aparecido kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Rui Schmidt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Dalmo Peixoto made a huge save. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, Dalmo Peixoto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Carcanha SC's zone, Geraldo Ramos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalmo Peixoto came out of the goal and Geraldo Ramos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Sydney do Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Carcanha SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sydney do Nascimento couldn't finish the play. Dalmo Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Ramos in the 92nd minute of the match. Vânderson Cavalcante charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vânderson Cavalcante the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The goalkeeper, Dalmo Peixoto, was totally fooled by Cruzalia EC's Donato Romero, who 95 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cruzalia EC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
