But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Schmidt couldn't finish the play. Rui Schmidt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Yan Carneiro made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geraldo Ramos in the 24th minute of play forced Mariluz FC's goalkeeper Yan Carneiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Breno Mello showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anísio Tepedino in the 86th minute of the match.
