Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tamborou AD's Henrique Tavares started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Doni Neves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henrique Tavares's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Tamborou AD's goalkeeper Júlio Rossi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilian Faria. The supporters of CR Flamengo booed when Tamborou AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandrinho Barreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Júlio Rossi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dito Branco's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. 23 minutes into the game, CR Flamengo's Marcelo Peixoto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Júlio Rossi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Tamborou AD's Sandrinho Barreto got his second yellow card of the match in the 26th minute. The referee ordered Sandrinho Barreto off the ground. Sandrinho Barreto hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Tamborou AD's Júlio Rossi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Tamborou AD from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 30th minute of the game. One of CR Flamengo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tamborou AD:s goal. 36 minutes into the match, Henrique Tavares notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of CR Flamengo's Doni Neves. Doni Neves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Henrique Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Doni Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Faustão Xavier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tamborou AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3.

After having played for 52 minutes, Henrique Tavares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tamborou AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrique Tavares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 56th match minute, Tamborou AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrique Tavares to maneuver through the defense. Silvinho Loyola hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Henrique Tavares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Doni Neves having to make a save. After 64 played minutes Tamborou AD got a freekick which was hit by Romeu Motta. Dito Branco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Júlio Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilian Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Rossi having to interfere. Júlio Rossi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dito Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Henrique Tavares made a precise shot to the right of Doni Neves. CR Flamengo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Doni Neves made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Henrique Tavares sent off a good shot on target. Faustão Xavier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Henrique Tavares who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 87thth minute tested the skills of Doni Neves when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Júlio Rossi came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by CR Flamengo's Wilian Faria. But to his dismay, Wilian Faria quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Tamborou AD's Júlio Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dito Branco in the 94th minute of play. A collision led to Tamborou AD getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Silvinho Loyola hit a great ball. The Tamborou AD supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tamborou AD would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
