Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Didi de Sousa got the match started through his kick off. After a rather tough play, Theozera's Zé Carlos Favoretto got a free kick in the 4th minute. With a little luck, Theozera's Luizinho da Silveira got control of the ball when Romeu de Amaral tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 6th minute, Romeu de Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luizinho da Silveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernani Trigo in the 10th minute of play. A collision led to Mellinho FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Hernani Trigo hit a great ball. Mellinho FC's Adhemar Tande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Didi de Sousa in the 16th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Didi de Sousa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Adhemar Tande was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Luizinho da Silveira was a little too slow when Hernani Trigo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-1. Jânio Santana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adhemar Tande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Didi de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Didi de Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geovanni Marquez's late challenge caught a Theozera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Geovanni Marquez helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Mellinho FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Geovanni Marquez hit a great ball. Adhemar Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Didi de Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Romeu de Amaral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luizinho da Silveira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romeu de Amaral got free with Luizinho da Silveira in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 40th minute, Romeu de Amaral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mellinho FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 44 minutes into the match, Theozera's Jânio Santana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adhemar Tande narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jânio Santana in the 47th minute of play forced Mellinho FC's goalkeeper Adhemar Tande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Hernani Trigo made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romeu de Amaral in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luizinho da Silveira saved Theozera from getting behind. Jânio Santana was extremely unlucky when he, in the 57th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Didi de Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Theozera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Didi de Sousa couldn't finish the play. Didi de Sousa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adhemar Tande read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Jânio Santana took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Adhemar Tande to make any attempt to save it. Didi de Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Adhemar Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romeu de Amaral in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luizinho da Silveira saved Theozera from getting behind. The Mellinho FC fans' excitement grew in the 73rd match minute when Mellinho FC's Hernani Trigo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 83 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Theozera's Jânio Santana fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Edmílson de Toledo's late challenge caught a Theozera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmílson de Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. Edmílson de Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Didi de Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the game, Mellinho FC's Hernani Trigo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luizinho da Silveira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Adhemar Tande was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from João Augusto Alcântara. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Mellinho FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Theozera had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
