With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adhemar Tande prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th minute, Agostinho Prado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romeu de Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Francisco Munhoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alessandro Moura during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mellinho FC's Edmílson de Toledo pulled a muscle in his leg after 40 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Rafinha Gaúcho fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HUMBLE LIONS's protests and gave Rafinha Gaúcho a yellow card for diving instead. After 47 minutes of play, HUMBLE LIONS's Lucas Sergipano made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adhemar Tande was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romeu de Amaral to make the kick off. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing HUMBLE LIONS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
