Spectators: 7510 (Terracing: 5635, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fernandinho Luz got the match started through his kick off. Donato Hoffmann struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Betinho Rezende didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Botafogo. Betinho Rezende made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donato Hoffmann in the 7th minute. In the 7th minute, Wellington França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the game, Paulinho de Lara recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Betinho Rezende. Paulinho de Lara showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 13th minute, Donato Hoffmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Betinho Rezende was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Donato Hoffmann put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Betinho Rezende. Serafim Arce hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the match, Carmelopolis's goalkeeper Betinho Rezende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulinho de Lara. After 27 played minutes Carmelopolis got a freekick which was hit by Arlindo da Rocha. 30 minutes into the match, Botafogo's Luís Britto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Betinho Rezende narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 31st minute Wellington França shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Botafogo's Marcelo Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernandinho Luz in the 33rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Carmelopolis's zone, Luís Britto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Betinho Rezende came out of the goal and Luís Britto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Betinho Rezende came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Botafogo's Luís Britto. But to his dismay, Luís Britto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. 40 minutes into the match, Botafogo's goal looked a bit too open when Dário Lopes came free, but Marcelo Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Botafogo's Luís Britto got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Justino Rodriguez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betinho Rezende having to interfere. In the 47th minute Donato Hoffmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betinho Rezende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donato Hoffmann to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Donato Hoffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botafogo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Hoffmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sandro Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After having played for 56 minutes, Luís Britto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botafogo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Britto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paulinho de Lara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betinho Rezende having to interfere. Marcelo Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naldo Macedo in the 60th minute of play. Donato Hoffmann recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 65 minutes of play, Carmelopolis's Fernandinho Luz made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Toscano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dário Lopes took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelo Toscano. Marcelo Toscano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. After 76 minutes, Fernandinho Luz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carmelopolis and the Botafogo players grew even worse after the yellow card. 81 minutes into the game, Donato Hoffmann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-2. Betinho Rezende was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 86 minutes into the match, Luís Britto notched a goal, 6-2, to the right of Carmelopolis's Betinho Rezende. Betinho Rezende was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 89th minute, Fernandinho Luz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marcelo Toscano. The goal made the score 6-3. After having played for 92 minutes, Donato Hoffmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botafogo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donato Hoffmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Naldo Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
