Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Donato Hoffmann started the match with the kick off. Guto Goiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 2nd minute of the match, but Marcelo Toscano made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Botafogo's Luís Britto got a free kick in the 4th minute. Geovânio de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Hoffmann in the 6th minute of play. Justino Rodriguez's late challenge caught a CF Nascy United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Justino Rodriguez helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of CF Nascy United booed when Botafogo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Justino Rodriguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Simão hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Botafogo's Marcelo Toscano got control of the ball when Hélder Lira tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, CF Nascy United's Marcelo Toscano threw himself towards the right post 20 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from João Francisco de Moraes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dênis Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Geovânio de Queiroz came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Botafogo's Luís Britto. But to his dismay, Luís Britto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Hélder Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot. CF Nascy United's supporters rose to their feet, but Hélder Lira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcelo Toscano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geovânio de Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Hélder Lira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Toscano. Botafogo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hélder Lira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. When Hélder Lira came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the CF Nascy United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hélder Lira couldn't finish the play. In the 54th minute, Aírton Matorin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CF Nascy United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Marcelo Toscano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Botafogo's Marcelo Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hélder Lira in the 61st minute of play. Luís Britto succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-3 in the 64th playminute. In the 67th minute, Luís Britto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Geovânio de Queiroz. The goal made the score 3-4. Tadeu Oliveira charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tadeu Oliveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tadeu Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Nelson de Mendonça hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After 82 minutes of play Botafogo's Justino Rodriguez was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Botafogo's Justino Rodriguez got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute Hélder Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hélder Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 91 minutes, Hélder Lira made it 4-4 with a short kick to the right side. Botafogo's Marcelo Toscano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Lira in the 94th minute of play forced Botafogo's goalkeeper Marcelo Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
