Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Olívio Saraiva started the match with the kick off. Olívio Saraiva charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olívio Saraiva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Olívio Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Celso Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in São Bernardo F.C fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 12th minute. Penalty! Ernesto Hermes placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Celso Madureira didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 15th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. 18 minutes into the match, Vicente Faustino notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of São Bernardo F.C's Dino Paraibano. Dino Paraibano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 23 minutes of play, São Bernardo F.C's Olívio Saraiva made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celso Madureira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dino Paraibano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Faustino, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in São Bernardo F.C's zone, Vicente Faustino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dino Paraibano came out of the goal and Vicente Faustino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mooca FC's Celso Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ediberto Lara in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Vianna in the 39th minute of play forced São Bernardo F.C's goalkeeper Dino Paraibano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emílio Penha was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 44 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the game, Mooca FC's Ernesto Hermes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dino Paraibano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The supporters of Mooca FC booed when São Bernardo F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedrinho Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Paraibano having to interfere. The supporters of São Bernardo F.C booed when Mooca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Baptista didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner led to Mooca FC's Patrick Vianna getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 73 minutes into the game, Luís Fernando da Cunha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mooca FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave São Bernardo F.C the free kick. After 73 played minutes Mooca FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fernando da Cunha. São Bernardo F.C's Dino Paraibano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save São Bernardo F.C from getting a goal against them. Dino Paraibano made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Vicente Faustino sent off a good shot on target. After 81 played minutes São Bernardo F.C got a freekick which was hit by Ediberto Lara. After 83 played minutes São Bernardo F.C got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Nunes. Luís Fernando da Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Paraibano having to interfere. In the 91st match minute, São Bernardo F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ediberto Lara to maneuver through the defense. Patrick Vianna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 97th minute Reynaldo Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Paraibano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
