Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gabriel Mazza started the match with the kick off. Grossas AD's Anderson Donatello shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 3rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Natã Galvão but with some difficulty. Gabriel Mazza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Natã Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Gabriel Mazza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Natã Galvão was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. In the 12th minute, Gabriel Mazza reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Natã Galvão. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 17th minute, Flávio Vianna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hamílton Massa's late challenge caught a Grossas AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hamílton Massa helped the player get up and apologised. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Flávio Vianna during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Flávio Vianna kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Elder de Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th minute, Hamílton Massa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zeca Cearense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Natã Galvão made a huge save. Corinthians's Elder de Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gabriel Mazza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, Edvaldo Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the match, Elder de Queirós had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudinei Melo. Grossas AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elder de Queirós was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 41 played minutes Grossas AD got a freekick which was hit by Gabriel Mazza. Claudinei Melo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hamílton Massa's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Hamílton Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Melo having to interfere. If Elder de Queirós had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dorian Oliveira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Claudinei Melo. Grossas AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hamílton Massa to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Paulão Meireles cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Natã Galvão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 54 played minutes Grossas AD got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Cardoso. 56 minutes into the match, Corinthians's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Mazza came free, but Natã Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonas Donatello's late challenge caught a Grossas AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonas Donatello helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Grossas AD booed when Corinthians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Donatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute Zeca Cearense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natã Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 61 minutes into the game, Grossas AD's Zeca Cearense nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Natã Galvão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Claudinei Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamílton Massa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anderson Donatello kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Zeca Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Natã Galvão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adrianinho Martins hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gabriel Mazza in the 77th minute of play forced Corinthians's goalkeeper Natã Galvão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudinei Melo was a little too slow when Elder de Queirós got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 3-2. After a rather tough play, Grossas AD's Toninho Cardoso got a free kick in the 84th minute. When Hamílton Massa came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Corinthians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hamílton Massa couldn't finish the play. Elder de Queiróss short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Claudinei Melo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. For all the effort they put into the match, the Corinthians players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Grossas AD.
