Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gualter Paraíba to make the kick off. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind BRAMBILLA's goalkeeper Sandrinho do Vale, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Rondônia Fc booed when BRAMBILLA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wágner Borges didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernani Gaspar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alex Barral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play.
