Severino Teles's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Daniel Cearense firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Severino Teles managed to get in a good position for a shot. União flasco's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Teles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Cearense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Daniel Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natã Sanches, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Antônio Varela was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Parque Gramado FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave União flasco the free kick. After a rather tough play, Parque Gramado FC's Antônio Varela got a free kick in the 14th minute. Geovanni Prado missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 16 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Daniel Cearense right hand side. Daniel Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natã Sanches in the 19th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 25 minutes into the game, when Antônio Varela put in a rough tackle. In the 24th minute, one of Parque Gramado FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Parque Gramado FC. In the 32nd minute Natã Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Cearense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Natã Sanches in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Cearense saved Parque Gramado FC from getting behind. Tomé Terra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Júlio Aparecido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Parque Gramado FC's goalkeeper Daniel Cearense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severino Teles. After 42 minutes Parque Gramado FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Geovanni Prado who took care of the corner kick. Glauco Cabral thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Daniel Cearense, a very annoying self made goal in the 42nd minute which led to 2-0. Daniel Cearense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Severino Teles went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Natã Sanches to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes União flasco got a freekick which was hit by Natã Sanches. If Tomé Terra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomé Terra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Aparecido having to interfere. Daniel Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severino Teles in the 81st minute of play. Daniel Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natã Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Parque Gramado FC's zone, Natã Sanches stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Cearense came out of the goal and Natã Sanches tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 92 minutes, Frederico de Brito mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the União flasco and the Parque Gramado FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilvan Nóbrega during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to União flasco getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Gilvan Nóbrega hit a great ball. Parque Gramado FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
