When Doriva Reis came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Capanema EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doriva Reis couldn't finish the play. 26 minutes into the game, Carlos Fernando Marquez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Soccer Novice's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Capanema EC the free kick. A collision led to Soccer Novice getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Carlos Fernando Marquez hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Doriva Reis made a precise shot to the right of Mathias Ceresso. Soccer Novice's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Gilson Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd play minute Doriva Reis came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mathias Ceresso. 2-0. When Doriva Reis came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Capanema EC fans jumped to their feet. One of Capanema EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Soccer Novice:s goal. Frédson Paraíba had in the 42ndth minute some difficulties stopping Benjamim de Godoi's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 44thth minute of the game Miguel Fernandes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Soccer Novice's Mathias Ceresso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Carlos Mota notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Capanema EC's Frédson Paraíba. Frédson Paraíba was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 50th minute, Tomás Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 54 minutes into the match, Capanema EC's goalkeeper Frédson Paraíba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Fernando Marquez. Miguel Fernandes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Soccer Novice's Carlos Fernando Marquez got a free kick in the 56th minute. Duda Fantini hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Miguel Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mathias Ceresso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doriva Reis in the 62nd minute of the match. Capanema EC's Miguel Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Capanema EC's Duda Fantini got a free kick in the 65th minute. Doriva Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Mathias Ceresso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Carlos Mota dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Frédson Paraíba, 2-2. If Carlos Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Miguel Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Mathias Ceresso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frédson Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilson Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Frédson Paraíba successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Marcelo Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match.
