Claudinei de Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Álvaro Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yan Teles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hortêncio Vides in the 20th minute of the match. After 21 played minutes S.E. Palestra Itália got a freekick which was hit by Erasmo Quadros. Romeu de Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Álvaro Sergipano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dário Figueiredo's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. S.E. Palestra Itália's Claudinei de Moraes got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Idiolandia's goalkeeper Álvaro Sergipano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dário Figueiredo. The supporters of S.E. Palestra Itália booed when Idiolandia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hortêncio Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hortêncio Vides in the 44th minute of play forced S.E. Palestra Itália's goalkeeper Yan Teles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dário Figueiredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Álvaro Sergipano made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudinei de Moraes to strike the kick off in the second half. Claudinei de Moraes struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Álvaro Sergipano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E. Palestra Itália. After 53 played minutes Idiolandia got a freekick which was hit by Jano Mattos. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geovani Santos during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Yan Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hortêncio Vides, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Romeu de Medeiros could shoot a difficult shot in the 65th minute, which Yan Teles however easily saved by the left post. In the 68th minute, Dário Figueiredo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Álvaro Sergipano was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 73rd minute, Dário Figueiredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dário Figueiredo hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 80thth minute of the game Hortêncio Vides who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.E. Palestra Itália's Yan Teles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yan Teles was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Geovani Santos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Geovani Santos really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. In the 90th minute of the match Erasmo Quadros shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Álvaro Sergipano showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. S.E. Palestra Itália's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
