E.C SM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amapari SS the free kick. In the 43rdth minute of the game Horácio Mazza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Amapari SS's Rodriguinho Cardoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 46 minutes into the match, E.C SM's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Garcia came free, but Nicolas Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Horácio Mazza made a kick off. Samuel de Carvalho's late challenge caught a E.C SM's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolas Pinho was a little too slow when Eliézer Paranaense got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 1-3. Nicolas Pinho made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Tostão Andrade sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute Vicente Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Pinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolas Pinho didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 83rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-4. Nicolas Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliézer Paranaense in the 89th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, E.C SM's Dida Cruz got a free kick in the 96th minute. Amapari SS's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
