Manoel Bertassi started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Zé Pedro Almeida notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of GATO GALATICO's Rodolfo Velasco. Rodolfo Velasco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A throw-in in the 7th minute of the game was made by Gil Vinhas with Zé Pedro Almeida as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. GATO GALATICO were furious when Cido Mesquita was red carded, 9 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of GATO GALATICO:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Meireles FC:s goal. The referee gave Meireles FC a penalty, 11 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gil Vinhas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of GATO GALATICO's Rodolfo Velasco. 2-0. 13 minutes into the match, GATO GALATICO's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Pedro Almeida came free, but Rodolfo Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Haroldo Barreto got free with Rodolfo Velasco in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. GATO GALATICO's Miguel Pinheiro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gil Vinhas in the 17 minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Zé Pedro Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meireles FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Pedro Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodolfo Velasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to GATO GALATICO getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Miguel Pinheiro hit a great ball. Rodolfo Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Pedro Almeida in the 27th minute of the match. Rodolfo Velasco made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Haroldo Barreto sent off a good shot on target. Mazinho Ortiz made in the 30th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by GATO GALATICO's Miguel Pinheiro. Manfredo Messias's late challenge caught a GATO GALATICO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manfredo Messias helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Meireles FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Manfredo Messias hit a great ball. After 35 played minutes, GATO GALATICO's Willian Donatello shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emanuel Guerra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GATO GALATICO reached it. 44 minutes into the game, Meireles FC's Manfredo Messias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodolfo Velasco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 47th minute of the match, Haroldo Barreto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rodolfo Velasco was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

After 51 minutes, Miguel Pinheiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GATO GALATICO and the Meireles FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Meireles FC booed when GATO GALATICO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haroldo Barreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rodolfo Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gino Alagoano in the 54th minute of the match. 57 minutes into the game, Meireles FC's Manfredo Messias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodolfo Velasco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. After 60 played minutes GATO GALATICO got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Carvalho. If Miguel Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manoel Bertassi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Guerra having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Joaquim Quintal in the 67th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Meireles FC's Manfredo Messias. After 69 minutes of play, Meireles FC's Manfredo Messias made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodolfo Velasco was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Haroldo Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. GATO GALATICO's Rodolfo Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Alagoano in the 77th minute of play. Joaquim Quintal struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Emanuel Guerra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GATO GALATICO. 81 minutes into the game, Manoel Bertassi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GATO GALATICO's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meireles FC the free kick. In the 81st match minute, GATO GALATICO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manoel Bertassi to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, Haroldo Barreto made a precise shot to the right of Rodolfo Velasco. GATO GALATICO's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. Rodolfo Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfredo Messias in the 91st minute of the match. 92 minutes into the match, GATO GALATICO's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Barreto came free, but Rodolfo Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
