Wilton de Lima ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 9th minute, Anísio Matorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Luís Gustavo Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.R. Vallongo's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Gustavo Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedrinho Cearense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vallongo booed when Malinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caco Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anísio Matorin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Pedrinho Cearense made a huge save. In the 34th minute, C.R. Vallongo's Anísio Matorin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Luís Gustavo Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute, Sílvio Luiz Batista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 44 minutes into the game, Mauro Ramos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.R. Vallongo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malinha FC the free kick. A collision led to C.R. Vallongo getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Mauro Ramos hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Cebo in the 45th minute of play forced C.R. Vallongo's goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the C.R. Vallongo defense, Federico Cebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Fabiano Cruz. The C.R. Vallongo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fabiano Cruz should have stopped the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tales Esteves to strike the kick off in the second half. Anísio Matorin hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. C.R. Vallongo's attentive Armandinho Siqueira managed to snatch the ball when Caco Rodrigues made a throw-in in the 53rd minute of the game. Luís Gustavo Amaral kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Mauro Ramos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. C.R. Vallongo's Anísio Matorin got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the game, Marcos de Salles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C.R. Vallongo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malinha FC the free kick. When Tales Esteves came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Malinha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tales Esteves couldn't finish the play. 82 minutes into the match, C.R. Vallongo's Anísio Matorin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedrinho Cearense narrowly saved just below the crossbar. During the 83rd minute of the match Sílvio Luiz Batista completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sílvio Luiz Batista a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.
