Spectators: 7478 (Terracing: 5610, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 149) Coxilha's Válbson Ribeiro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute Válbson Ribeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdemar Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Válbson Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Valdemar Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 15 minutes of play, Coxilha's Válbson Ribeiro made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdemar Fontes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 19 minutes into the match, Social Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jeferson Mazza came free, but Valdemar Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 27 minutes into the game, when Laerte Rodrigues put in a rough tackle. A collision led to Social Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Laerte Rodrigues hit a great ball. Jeferson Mazza struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Valdemar Fontes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coxilha. In the 30th minute, Elói Baptista left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coxilha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 33 minutes into the match, Social Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Elói Baptista came free, but Valdemar Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Jeferson Mazza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdemar Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Social Futebol Clube's Valdemar Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celsinho Linares in the 36th minute of play. Social Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Coxilha the free kick. In the 51st minute, Zé Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valdemar Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeferson Mazza in the 53rd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Coxilha's Valdemar Fontes threw himself towards the right post 56 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Elói Baptista, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Social Futebol Clube's defense didn't have a chance, in the 57th minute, when Jeferson Mazza scored to the left of an out of position Valdemar Fontes, making the score, 0-5. The supporters of Coxilha booed when Social Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Fernando Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. 66 minutes into the match, Social Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Valdemar Fontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeferson Mazza. The crowd rose to their feet as Coxilha's Elói Baptista slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valdemar Fontes. That made the score 0-6 after 69 minutes of play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Social Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Valdemar Fontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Válbson Ribeiro. 88 minutes into the game, Válbson Ribeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Valdemar Fontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valdemar Fontes was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Elói Baptista capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Elói Baptista really showed his touch with that goal: 0-9. With a little luck, Social Futebol Clube's Valdemar Fontes got control of the ball when Jeferson Mazza tried to sneak it across the goal line.
