Spectators: 7487 (Terracing: 5616, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) Paulo Renato Gaspar started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 4 played minutes, Velez do Jockey FC's Ricardinho Dionísio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rony Alvarenga came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Velez do Jockey FC reached it. After 5 minutes, Kaká Lopez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Capatara AD and the Velez do Jockey FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Capatara AD getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Kaká Lopez hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Renato Gaspar in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rony Alvarenga saved Capatara AD from getting behind. Rony Alvarenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Renato Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vinícius Vergílio during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vinícius Vergílio hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Rony Alvarenga came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Velez do Jockey FC's Danilo Novaes. But to his dismay, Danilo Novaes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 18th minute, Serafim Severo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rony Alvarenga was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. A collision led to Velez do Jockey FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Danilo Novaes hit a great ball. If Andrézinho Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Capatara AD's Léo Vieira got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th match minute, Velez do Jockey FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Novaes to maneuver through the defense. 35 minutes into the match, Capatara AD's Vinícius Vergílio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Capatara AD's Rony Alvarenga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Novaes in the 37th minute of play. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Capatara AD's goalkeeper Rony Alvarenga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Léo Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Capatara AD players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Velez do Jockey FC were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Léo Vieira made a kick off. Paulo Renato Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rony Alvarenga having to interfere. With a little luck, Capatara AD's Rony Alvarenga got control of the ball when Paulo Renato Gaspar tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Capatara AD getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Anselmo Brodel hit a great ball. Rony Alvarenga was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Danilo Novaes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 55 minute of play. In the 59th minute, Léo Vieira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rony Alvarenga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Renato Gaspar in the 61st minute of play. Serafim Severo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Rony Alvarenga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd match minute, Capatara AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaká Lopez to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Capatara AD's Rony Alvarenga got control of the ball when Paulo Renato Gaspar tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 81st match minute, Velez do Jockey FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Novaes to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Capatara AD defense, Andrézinho Lima kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rony Alvarenga. The Capatara AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rony Alvarenga should have stopped the shot. 87 minutes into the game, Olavo Aparecido threw the ball into play from the sideline. Capatara AD's Andrézinho Breckenfeld quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Rony Alvarenga made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Rubinho Sampaio sent off a good shot on target. Paulo Renato Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rony Alvarenga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Renato Gaspar's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Rony Alvarenga was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Rubinho Sampaio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rubinho Sampaio really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. When the match was over Velez do Jockey FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Capatara AD throughout the match.
