Patrick Ortiz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Bebeto Paraense made a huge save. Bebeto Paraense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roberto Varela in the 22nd minute. Rafa Pirani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bebeto Paraense having to interfere. Bebeto Paraense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafa Pirani, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 47th minute, Rafa Pirani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rafa Pirani to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Célio Lara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Baviera FC and the Ipanema SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ipanema SS booed when Baviera FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Célio Lara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ipanema SS's Cássio de Sena got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bebeto Paraense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roberto Varela went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafa Pirani in the 94th minute of play forced Baviera FC's goalkeeper Bebeto Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ipanema SS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
