BAR100LONA's Tadeusz Szotek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Ivanov in the 5th minute of play. 6 minutes into the match, Benedito Braga notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of BAR100LONA's Tadeusz Szotek. Tadeusz Szotek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tadeusz Szotek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito Braga in the 9th minute of the match. After 12 played minutes BAR100LONA got a freekick which was hit by Tostão Pinheiro. Flamengo's Cléberson Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paulo Munhoz in the 18th minute of play. Tadeusz Szotek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Ivanov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dênis Maia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Cléberson Paraíba made a huge save. If Dênis Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29 minutes, João Paulo Munhoz made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Flamengo's Cléberson Paraíba tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. BAR100LONA's Tadeusz Szotek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Odman in the 32nd minute of play. The BAR100LONA fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when BAR100LONA's João Paulo Munhoz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the Flamengo defense, Dênis Maia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cléberson Paraíba. The Flamengo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cléberson Paraíba should have stopped the shot. Tadeusz Szotek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ivan Ivanov went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Benedito Braga made the kick off in the second half. Tadeusz Szotek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedito Braga in the 52nd minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Flamengo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of BAR100LONA:s goal. In the 54th minute there was a penalty for BAR100LONA. Piero Madrid stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Cléberson Paraíba. 4-2. After 56th play minutes Dênis Maia shot 5-2, a short shot which went by Cléberson Paraíba and just under the crossbar into goal. Flamengo's Cléberson Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paulo Munhoz in the 60th minute of play. Dênis Maia scored 6-2 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cléberson Paraíba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that João Paulo Munhoz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cléberson Paraíba was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Cléberson Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Paulo Munhoz in the 68th minute of play. Cléberson Paraíba came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by BAR100LONA's Tostão Pinheiro. But to his dismay, Tostão Pinheiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-2. Flamengo's João Vítor Cerezo quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Eurico Gomes, made in the 79th minute of the game. Cléberson Paraíba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Paulo Munhoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. BAR100LONA's Tadeusz Szotek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedito Braga in the 82nd minute of play. João Paulo Munhoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléberson Paraíba having to interfere. Genaro Remir hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. After having played for 98 minutes, Gil Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flamengo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Donatello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, BAR100LONA could leave the field as winners, despite Flamengo having more of the ball for most of the match.
