Ipanema SS's Tarcisio Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmo Trigo in the 19th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ipanema SS's Oséas Meireles got a free kick in the 20th minute. Pedro Baiano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tarcisio Amaral. Ipanema SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 26 minutes in the game, Dalmo Trigo dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. André Luiz Viana kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Ipanema SS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Dalmo Trigo scored to the left of an out of position Tarcisio Amaral, making the score, 5-0. In the 45th match minute, Joinville City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Luiz Viana to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dalmo Trigo to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Raí da Cunha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tarcisio Amaral was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. When Enrique Vasconcelos fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
