Spectators: 5200 (Terracing: 4150, Seating: 1040, VIP seats: 10) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Silvério Tepedino took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jean Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Sandalio, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Víktor Furlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jean Lopes having to interfere. Waldir Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliseo Sandalio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raphael Loyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danton Christini having to interfere. Waldir Velasco took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jean Lopes. Jean Lopes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Waldir Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. AD Jequieense's supporters rose to their feet, but Waldir Velasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jean Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 44 minutes into the match, Ilha dos Frades's goal looked a bit too open when Waldir Velasco came free, but Jean Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvério Tepedino in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Danton Christini saved AD Jequieense from getting behind. 54 minutes into the match, AD Jequieense's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael Loyola came free, but Danton Christini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Waldir Velasco came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the AD Jequieense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Waldir Velasco couldn't finish the play. 65 minutes into the game, Víktor Furlan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AD Jequieense's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ilha dos Frades the free kick. The supporters of Ilha dos Frades booed when AD Jequieense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Víktor Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Eliseo Sandalio made a precise shot to the right of Jean Lopes. Ilha dos Frades's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Waldir Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot. AD Jequieense's supporters rose to their feet, but Waldir Velasco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando Jacinto replaced Eliseo Sandalio. 84 minutes into the match Armando Jacinto climbed in front of goal and pressed up 0-4 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Jean Lopes. AD Jequieense's André Trevisan was substituted for Doni Vasconcelos. Ramón Lopez's late challenge caught a Ilha dos Frades's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramón Lopez helped the player get up and apologised. AD Jequieense's Danton Christini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidnei Correia in the 90th minute of play. If Víktor Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. AD Jequieense's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
