Jeferson Silva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 31st minute, Jacq Lieckens left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The J.J CALDAS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Murilo Ortiz helped the player get up and apologised. Murilo Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Antoni Karanewski made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute of the match J.J CALDAS got a corner. CORITIBA FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pedro Luiz Ceresso ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led J.J CALDAS's Valdomiro de Lima to a score. 1-7 in the 54th minute. In the 59th minute, Antoni Karanewski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacq Lieckens blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Botelho having to make a save. J.J CALDAS's Vicente Chabier got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Valdomiro de Lima left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The J.J CALDAS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-9. Bruno Botelho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vicente Chabier in the 71st minute. Bruno Botelho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vicente Chabier's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. The coaching staff of J.J CALDAS protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Murilo Ortiz had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 85th minute, Murilo Ortiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute of the match Perivaldo Ferreira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeferson Silva skillfully saved the ball. Antoni Karanewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Bruno Botelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeferson Silva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lenílson Matorin went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-9 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the CORITIBA FC defense, Valdomiro de Lima kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bruno Botelho. The CORITIBA FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bruno Botelho should have stopped the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. J.J CALDAS walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
