Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After 2 minutes, Isaltino Melo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Muricizinho and the CORITIBA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 2nd minute, Isaltino Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Naldo Soares in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Botelho saved CORITIBA FC from getting behind. Jorginho de Barros hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Bruno Botelho made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Michel Soares sent off a good shot on target. In the 10th minute, Perivaldo Ferreira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 11th minute Angelo Sabóia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When CORITIBA FC's Lenílson Matorin in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. José Maria Azevedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 26 minutes, Ian Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CORITIBA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ian Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, CORITIBA FC's Jorginho de Barros got a free kick in the 31st minute. After a defensive mix-up in CORITIBA FC's zone, Tião Martins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Botelho came out of the goal and Tião Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Naldo Soares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 35 played minutes CORITIBA FC got a freekick which was hit by Jorginho de Barros. José Maria Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 38 played minutes Muricizinho got a freekick which was hit by Geraldo Gaúcho. José Maria Azevedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Perivaldo Ferreira went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Muricizinho defense, Perivaldo Ferreira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Maria Azevedo. The Muricizinho fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Maria Azevedo should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Naldo Soares was the one to do the kick off. Michel Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Bruno Botelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to CORITIBA FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. William Trancoso hit a great ball. Naldo Soares struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Bruno Botelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Muricizinho. The audience was convinced that Lenílson Matorin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Maria Azevedo was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Perivaldo Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Thanks to some nice moves Perivaldo Ferreira could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which José Maria Azevedo however easily saved by the left post. In the 75th minute, Perivaldo Ferreira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CORITIBA FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. José Maria Azevedo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lenílson Matorin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 80 minute of play. CORITIBA FC's José Carlos Sá was substituted for Ian Soares. Angelo Sabóia hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match.
