In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Mad Max FC's goalkeeper Tunç Baybars, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26th match minute, Mad Max FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Décio Mota to maneuver through the defense. Grêmio sp2024's Raphael Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristóvão Sabóia in the 32nd minute of play. Décio Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael Barbosa having to interfere. In the 37th minute Noel Guimarães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tunç Baybars saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Grêmio sp2024's Juninho Sampaio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tunç Baybars. Tunç Baybars yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Mad Max FC's Cristóvão Sabóia got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Hortêncio Ribeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Décio Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tunç Baybars was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Charles Nogueira. After some fancy dribbling in the 100th minute, Juninho Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grêmio sp2024's supporters rose to their feet, but Juninho Sampaio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tunç Baybars breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Grêmio sp2024 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
