Dorian Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Sebastian Pueblo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Oséias Pinheiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Grêmio Reitoria F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Reis do Cortes the free kick. Cícero Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Garcilaso Cabanela having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Marco Antunes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sebastian Pueblo. Marco Antunes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The attack was good, but when Dorian Fonseca in the 45th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nilton Valadares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Oséias Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Oséias Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oséias Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Dorian Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 72 minutes into the match, Reis do Cortes's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Antunes came free, but Sebastian Pueblo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th match minute, Grêmio Reitoria F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arxel Ribas to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felippe do Nascimento got free with Garcilaso Cabanela in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 99 minutes of play, Reis do Cortes's Cícero Cearense made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Garcilaso Cabanela was left in no man's land by his defense there!
