The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juninho Sampaio during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th match minute, Grêmio sp2024 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juninho Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. Ezequiel Vides hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Dudu Miranda took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sebastian Pueblo. Reis do Cortes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Grêmio sp2024 getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Noel Guimarães kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Juninho Sampaio hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Cícero Cearense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Raphael Barbosa was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a rather tough play, Grêmio sp2024's Hortêncio Ribeiro got a free kick in the 44th minute. Cícero Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Raphael Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nilton Valadares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Grêmio sp2024 got a freekick which was hit by Dudu Miranda. Cícero Cearense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hortêncio Ribeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Sebastian Pueblo made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Juninho Sampaio sent off a good shot on target. Sebastian Pueblo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Ribeiro in the 74th minute of play. Cícero Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael Barbosa having to interfere. Cícero Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Raphael Barbosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nilton Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Reis do Cortes players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
