Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Catesporo AD's Jairo Tepedino started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Jacinto Soeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Ibiuna FC fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Ibiuna FC's Diguinho Prado looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. João Vítor Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Gonçalo Luz might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernardinho de Queiroz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gonçalo Luz ran back to his position shaking his head. Bernardinho de Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Tepedino in the 15th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Diguinho Prado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but César Meirelles was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. After 23 played minutes Catesporo AD got a freekick which was hit by Gonçalo Luz. 24 minutes into the match, Ibiuna FC's Gaizka Larquera sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that César Meirelles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gaizka Larquera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Catesporo AD's Gonçalo Luz got a free kick in the 27th minute. César Meirelles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diguinho Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Cássio Paraibano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Bernardinho de Queiroz made a huge save. After 31 minutes Ibiuna FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sydney Teixeira who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Catesporo AD's corner Sydney Teixeira fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bernardinho de Queiroz quite easily take care of the ball. César Meirelles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guto Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ibiuna FC's Wilton Aguiar got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernardinho de Queiroz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Tepedino in the 38th minute of the match. Bernardinho de Queiroz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jairo Tepedino in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute, Gaizka Larquera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diguinho Prado in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck César Meirelles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diguinho Prado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After some careless play in the Catesporo AD defense, Diguinho Prado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of César Meirelles. The Catesporo AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that César Meirelles should have stopped the shot. Jairo Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diguinho Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without César Meirelles having to interfere. After some careless play in the Catesporo AD defense, Gaizka Larquera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of César Meirelles. The Catesporo AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that César Meirelles should have stopped the shot. 71 minutes into the game, João Vítor Paranaense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Catesporo AD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ibiuna FC the free kick. João Vítor Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Catesporo AD's zone, Guto Neiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. César Meirelles came out of the goal and Guto Neiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82nd match minute, Catesporo AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Acácio Moreira to maneuver through the defense. Catesporo AD's César Meirelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diguinho Prado in the 83rd minute of play. When Guto Neiva came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Ibiuna FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guto Neiva couldn't finish the play. Wilton Aguiar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without César Meirelles having to make a save. In the 93rd match minute, Ibiuna FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Zanette to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Ibiuna FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Catesporo AD throughout the match.
