When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Cristian Barbosa sped through São Bento's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Maurício Veiga. Anderson Linhares struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Maurício Veiga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Seropedica. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Barbosa in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maurício Veiga saved São Bento from getting behind. The supporters of São Bento booed when Seropedica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dieguinho Rezende didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 77 minutes, Anísio Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A very good chance. 94 minutes into the match, São Bento's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Catarinense came free, but Maurício Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
