Suição United's Gilberto Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Pontal FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Ferraz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Róbson Tróia. Bernardo Ferraz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléber Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Róbson Tróia got free with Bernardo Ferraz in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 35 minutes into the match, Pontal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cléber Eger came free, but Bernardo Ferraz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Suição United's Róbson Tróia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bernardo Ferraz. Bernardo Ferraz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After 39 minutes, Sílvio Amorim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pontal FC and the Suição United players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Suição United booed when Pontal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Magno Eger made a kick off. Leandro Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Ferraz having to interfere. Gilberto Carvalho took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernardo Ferraz. Bernardo Ferraz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 57th minute Cléber Eger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Ferraz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Oséas Linhares was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pontal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Suição United the free kick. In the 58th minute, Oséas Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chiquinho Bueno in the 59th minute of play forced Pontal FC's goalkeeper Bernardo Ferraz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Suição United's Róbson Tróia got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Róbson Tróia in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardo Ferraz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 88 played minutes Pontal FC got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Dias. Chiquinho Bueno took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bernardo Ferraz. Pontal FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some careless play in the Pontal FC defense, Cléber Eger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardo Ferraz. The Pontal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Ferraz should have stopped the shot. Pontal FC were furious when Pedro Augusto Pereira was red carded, 95 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 95th match minute, Pontal FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Augusto Pereira to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Suição United fully deserved thier win.
