Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kléber Diniz kicked off to start the match. The audience held their breath when Aírton Penha in the 5th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Zé Pedro Ramalho's left hand side. After having played for 7 minutes, Gino Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Herois da Apae FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gino Lopez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eduardo Furlan in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Pedro Ramalho saved Baependi from getting behind. A collision led to Herois da Apae FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Adriano Vidal hit a great ball. In the 10th minute of the match Marcos Esteves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Fernando Sousa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Herois da Apae FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kléber Diniz came free, but Carlos Fernando Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute of the match, Gino Lopez got a very nice opportunity to score, but Zé Pedro Ramalho was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Kléber Diniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Fernando Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléber Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 29th minute Kléber Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Fernando Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Herois da Apae FC's Carlos Fernando Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José de Mendonça in the 30th minute of play. Kléber Diniz took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Fernando Sousa. Carlos Fernando Sousa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Kléber Diniz scored 0-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Fernando Sousa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Carlos Fernando Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kléber Diniz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Herois da Apae FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nelson Zonta came free, but Carlos Fernando Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gino Lopez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Zé Pedro Ramalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Furlan in the 51st minute of play. In the 57th minute Kléber Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Fernando Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 60 minutes into the match, Herois da Apae FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Esteves came free, but Carlos Fernando Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Herois da Apae FC defense, Kléber Diniz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Fernando Sousa. The Herois da Apae FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Fernando Sousa should have stopped the shot. José de Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Carlos Fernando Sousa made a huge save. 66 minutes into the match, Herois da Apae FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Esteves came free, but Carlos Fernando Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Fernando Sousa made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Nelson Zonta sent off a good shot on target. Baependi's Kléber Diniz managed to work through Herois da Apae FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Kléber Diniz dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 89 minutes into the match, Nelson Zonta notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Herois da Apae FC's Carlos Fernando Sousa. Carlos Fernando Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. José de Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Fernando Sousa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. With a little luck, Herois da Apae FC's Carlos Fernando Sousa got control of the ball when José de Mendonça tried to sneak it across the goal line. Herois da Apae FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Nelson Zonta scored to the left of an out of position Carlos Fernando Sousa, making the score, 0-5. When the final whistle sounded Baependi left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Herois da Apae FC.
