The Herois da Apae FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Herois da Apae FC's Carlos Fernando Sousa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Herois da Apae FC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Herois da Apae FC's Carlos Fernando Sousa got control of the ball when Aílton Gaspar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dário Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Furlan in the 18th minute of play. Pedro de Amaral hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 23 minutes into the match, Herois da Apae FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aílton Gaspar came free, but Carlos Fernando Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aírton Penha's late challenge caught a Giant Killing United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aírton Penha helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Herois da Apae FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Aírton Penha hit a great ball. Dário Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aírton Penha in the 26th minute of play. Aírton Penha took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dário Nascimento. Dário Nascimento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After a rather tough play, Giant Killing United's Tony Soeiro got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute of the match Dito Abraão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dário Nascimento showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Aílton Gaspar fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Giant Killing United's protests and gave Aílton Gaspar a yellow card for diving instead. Aílton Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gino Lopez to make the kick off. Aílton Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Fernando Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aílton Gaspar in the 53rd minute of play. Dito Abraão was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 56 minutes into the match. In the 56th match minute, Herois da Apae FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dito Abraão to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute Mário Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Fernando Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Fernando Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aílton Gaspar in the 76th minute of play. After 78 minutes of play, Giant Killing United's Aílton Gaspar made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Fernando Sousa was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Urbano in the 83rd minute of play forced Herois da Apae FC's goalkeeper Carlos Fernando Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gino Lopez came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Herois da Apae FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gino Lopez couldn't finish the play. Matías Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Fernando Sousa having to interfere. Although Giant Killing United had been in control for most of the match, Herois da Apae FC still came away with the win.
