Rubens Trujillo came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Baependi's Kléber Diniz. But to his dismay, Kléber Diniz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José de Mendonça in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rubens Trujillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. José de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kléber Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rubens Trujillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléber Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. If Kléber Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Silvério Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baependi's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvério Pitta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rubens Trujillo came out of the goal and Nelson Zonta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd match minute, Baependi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Esteves to maneuver through the defense. In the 45thth minute of the game Carlinhos Porto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Baependi's Zé Pedro Ramalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kléber Diniz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Baependi got a freekick which was hit by Simão Costa. Eliseu Vargas was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 54th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 58th minute Nelson Zonta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens Trujillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlinhos Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Pedro Ramalho having to interfere. Osmar Pinheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baependi's Zé Pedro Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlinhos Porto in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlinhos Porto in the 69th minute of play forced Baependi's goalkeeper Zé Pedro Ramalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Zé Pedro Ramalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlinhos Porto in the 82nd minute of play. Raulzito FC's Rubens Trujillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kléber Diniz in the 84th minute of play. When Silvério Pitta came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Baependi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvério Pitta couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Baependi getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Nelson Zonta hit a great ball. Zé Pedro Ramalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlinhos Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 96th minute Kléber Diniz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens Trujillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
