Jabuticaba EC's Luiz Gustavo Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias Gaúcho in the 3rd minute of play. But to his dismay, Cesinha Pena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jesper Åberg in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Gustavo Marinho saved Jabuticaba EC from getting behind. In the 17th minute, Ruy Dracena made a precise shot to the right of Luiz Gustavo Marinho. Jabuticaba EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. In the 21st minute Benny Schweitzer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Gustavo Marinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Gustavo Marinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benny Schweitzer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Jabuticaba EC's Evandro Simões got a free kick in the 24th minute. Luiz Gustavo Marinho came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Caarapo SS's Cesinha Pena. But to his dismay, Cesinha Pena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. The Caarapo SS fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Caarapo SS's Jesper Åberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luiz Gustavo Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mathias Gaúcho in the 32nd minute of play. Benny Schweitzer took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Gustavo Marinho. Remo Penha's late challenge caught a Caarapo SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Remo Penha helped the player get up and apologised. After 40 played minutes Jabuticaba EC got a freekick which was hit by Remo Penha. Luiz Gustavo Marinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesinha Pena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, Jabuticaba EC's goal looked a bit too open when Jesper Åberg came free, but Luiz Gustavo Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-8 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesper Åberg in the 53rd minute of play forced Jabuticaba EC's goalkeeper Luiz Gustavo Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Gustavo Marinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesper Åberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruy Dracena got free with Luiz Gustavo Marinho in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Jabuticaba EC's zone, Mathias Gaúcho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Gustavo Marinho came out of the goal and Mathias Gaúcho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sidnei de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabinho Favoretto in the 60th minute of play. Caarapo SS made a substitution. Videl Romani replaced Ruy Dracena. Sebastião de Lima showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-11. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cesinha Pena got free with Luiz Gustavo Marinho in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luiz Gustavo Marinho came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Caarapo SS's Mathias Gaúcho. But to his dismay, Mathias Gaúcho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-12. In the 95th minute, Cesinha Pena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Gustavo Marinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-13. A collision led to Caarapo SS getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Benny Schweitzer hit a great ball. After 99 played minutes Jabuticaba EC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Fernando Proença. Caarapo SS played a much better game than Jabuticaba EC and deserved their victory. The Jabuticaba EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
