Angelo Rezende came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Jabuticaba EC's Fabinho Favoretto. But to his dismay, Fabinho Favoretto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dé Magalhães in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Gustavo Marinho saved Jabuticaba EC from getting behind. 19 minutes into the match, Jabuticaba EC's goal looked a bit too open when Duarte Urbano came free, but Luiz Gustavo Marinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Gustavo Marinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duarte Urbano in the 20th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Crato's Diamantino Soeiro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Diamantino Soeiro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Crato protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Diamantino Soeiro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 26th minute of the game. One of Crato:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Jabuticaba EC:s goal. The referee gave Jabuticaba EC a penalty, 28 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Roberto Neves, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Crato's Angelo Rezende. 2-0. 31 minutes into the match, Crato's goalkeeper Angelo Rezende had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marcelo Catarinense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Neves in the 33rd minute of play forced Crato's goalkeeper Angelo Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abelardo Guimarães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Luiz Gustavo Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 41 minutes into the game, Ramiro de Moraes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Crato's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jabuticaba EC the free kick. The supporters of Jabuticaba EC booed when Crato was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro de Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Fabinho Favoretto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jabuticaba EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Roberto Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Angelo Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dé Magalhães made a kick off. Fabinho Favoretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Angelo Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Roberto Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Rezende having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabinho Favoretto in the 61st minute of play forced Crato's goalkeeper Angelo Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Catarinense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 66th minute, Marcelo Catarinense made a precise shot to the right of Angelo Rezende. Crato's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. When Jabuticaba EC's Roberto Neves in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Crato's Angelo Rezende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fernando Proença in the 80th minute of play. Angelo Rezende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabinho Favoretto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the match, Crato's goal looked a bit too open when Roberto Neves came free, but Angelo Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abelardo Guimarães dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Jabuticaba EC had played much better football throughout.
