Wanderson Araújo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Danilo Veloso made a huge save. 6 minutes into the match, Dark Team's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Linares came free, but Manuel Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Cangaceiros PE booed when Dark Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reginaldo Félix didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jorge Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the match, Cangaceiros PE's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Toscano came free, but Danilo Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateus Macedo in the 15th minute of play forced Cangaceiros PE's goalkeeper Danilo Veloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Cléber Capixaba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cangaceiros PE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cléber Capixaba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 20th play minutes Adrianinho Saldanha shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Manuel Tande and just under the crossbar into goal. After 23 minutes of play, Cangaceiros PE's Adrianinho Saldanha made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Tande was left in no man's land by his defense there! Caetano Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wanderson Araújo in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Danilo Veloso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adrianinho Saldanha in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manuel Tande saved Dark Team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Cléber Capixaba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cangaceiros PE's supporters rose to their feet, but Cléber Capixaba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Tande breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Dark Team's zone, Adrianinho Saldanha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Tande came out of the goal and Adrianinho Saldanha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cangaceiros PE's Danilo Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Toscano in the 45th minute of play. In the 45th match minute, Cangaceiros PE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anísio Dante to maneuver through the defense. The Dark Team players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cangaceiros PE were winning 1-2.

59 minutes into the game, Cléber Capixaba recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Manuel Tande. Cléber Capixaba showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Jorge Linares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cangaceiros PE's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Linares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Tande breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Danilo Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wanderson Araújo in the 64th minute of play. A collision led to Cangaceiros PE getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Anderson da Rocha hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, Joélson do Nascimento notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Cangaceiros PE's Danilo Veloso. Danilo Veloso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Wanderson Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dark Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Wanderson Araújo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Veloso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee felt a red card was in order, 92 minutes into the game, when Anísio Dante put in a rough tackle. Danilo Veloso had in the 94thth minute some difficulties stopping Valdemar Simão's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 98th minute, Caetano Toscano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cangaceiros PE's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
