Joel Linares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Yuri Tepedino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danilo Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vivaldo Mangueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Gonçalo Damião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th minute, Edgar de Sena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jaraguáriuno fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Zé Carlos Loyola struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Danilo Figueiredo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaraguáriuno. Deivid Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The Jaraguáriuno fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Jaraguáriuno's Edgar de Sena looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edgar de Sena made a kick off. In the 51st minute Zé Carlos Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danilo Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 52 played minutes Giggantes FC got a freekick which was hit by Yan Falcão. The referee showed Yan Falcão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Jaraguáriuno booed when Giggantes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yan Falcão didn't get a good kick on the ball. 79 minutes into the game, Jaraguáriuno's Zé Carlos Loyola nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giggantes FC's Danilo Figueiredo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Giggantes FC from getting a goal against them. Zé Carlos Loyola in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Jaraguáriuno played a much better game than Giggantes FC and deserved their victory. The Giggantes FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
