A very good chance. 7 minutes into the match, Associação Menta Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Deivid Cunha came free, but Dino Ceresso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Associação Menta Clube's Marek Magdziarz in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Giggantes FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Evaristo Lira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 13th minute, Marek Magdziarz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Associação Menta Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Marek Magdziarz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Figueiredo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Evaristo Lira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Associação Menta Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Evaristo Lira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Danilo Figueiredo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rigoberto Mark recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emílio Baiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Dino Ceresso made a huge save. In the 29th minute Giggantes FC were awarded a corner. Zé Carlos Almeida went to the cornerflag to take it. 30 minutes into the match, Giggantes FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marek Magdziarz came free, but Danilo Figueiredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Marek Magdziarz came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Associação Menta Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marek Magdziarz couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute, Rigoberto Mark got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marek Magdziarz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Danilo Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Lira in the 37th minute of play. Emílio Baiano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Dino Ceresso made a huge save. Dino Ceresso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yan Falcão in the 43rd minute. Rigoberto Mark's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danilo Figueiredo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Carlos Rosa to make the kick off. The supporters of Associação Menta Clube booed when Giggantes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Carlos Rosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danilo Figueiredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marek Magdziarz in the 54th minute of the match. Deivid Cunha might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dino Ceresso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Deivid Cunha ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Associação Menta Clube booed when Giggantes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deivid Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Marek Magdziarz fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Associação Menta Clube's protests and gave Marek Magdziarz a yellow card for diving instead. After 64 played minutes Associação Menta Clube got a freekick which was hit by Marek Magdziarz. Dino Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Baiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Marek Magdziarz put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Danilo Figueiredo. In the 74th minute, Associação Menta Clube's Marek Magdziarz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Rigoberto Mark fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danilo Figueiredo having to interfere. Marcos Hoffmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Danilo Figueiredo made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Carlos Rosa in the 84th minute of play forced Associação Menta Clube's goalkeeper Dino Ceresso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Associação Menta Clube's Dino Ceresso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deivid Cunha in the 87th minute of play. Danilo Figueiredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Mark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute João Carlos Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Emílio Baiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dino Ceresso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Deivid Cunha took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dino Ceresso. Dino Ceresso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Associação Menta Clube walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
